Its been interesting to see and hear of the incidence of Blue-billed Ducks currently being seen and even breeding in Sth-east Queensland and close to Brisbane. Currently there are two pairs at Gatton ( potentially breeding) , two pairs at Kooralbyn ( that have apparantly bred) and also a pair at the Bundamba Wetland. Who knows there are no doubt others as well. It would appear conditions have brought the birds into the area as they are generally a rare visitor to our region. Ive certainly enjoyed seeing these spectacular birds. I would be interested to hear of any other sightings. cheers David Taylor Brisbane =============================== www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.comTo unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: =============================== |
