The pair that were in the biology reserve in La Trobe University in the
late 1970s that I got close to, were not to be trifled with lightly
either. Quite nasty birds. I would think many of them are.

I wouldn't let my kids get too close to one. I was at Cherry Lake in
Altona on the weekend, where they approach people for food. Every kid I
saw knew not to trust them.
