Looks like shooters have been voting on mass!!!!!

But notice how the options can be used to alter the results.  Personally I 
don't think children should be encouraged to shoot anything, not because it's 
brutal, but because it encourages the mindset that "guns are OK" or worse "guns 
are fun".  Notice that the "Yes" option is based on a positively worded 
statement "Yes, it is character building", but the "No" option is based on a 
negative statement "No, it is too brutal".

I once went for a walk in a forest in the US, heard gunshots and saw blood on 
the ground from an injured deer.  Until the gunshots I had no idea that hunting 
was allowed or happening in the area.  It would be too easy to accidentally get 
between a hunter and their prey under those circumstances.  Even the risk of a 
high powered ricochet was a concern.

Professional shooters hunting feral animals under controlled conditions, sure.  
But otherwise, "Take only photographs, leave only footprints".
