Common Koel? (Altona, Vic)

I just got back from my Cousin's place on the Gold Coast and one of the first 
birds I heard there was a Koel. I tried to get a recording of it calling, but 
of course it stopped as soon as I got the camera out.

Fortunately two other birds in their pond were much more sedentary if 
secretive; a pair of Buff-Banded Rails.  I got a couple of blurred photos but I 
wish I'd had the video camera - with the long zoom I could have recorded some 
video of them without disturbing them so much.  What a great place my cousins 
live in for birds!
