Tiffany Mason has asked me to post the following information. It is important that all sightings of Regent Honeyeaters are reported, even birds and locations that you think are already known.

===============
Reporting your sightings of the Regent Honeyeater is vital to the recovery effort for this species as it provides information about the birds' movements, what resources they are using at different times of the year, between years and where, and breeding and longevity records. There is a one-stop shop for all this info: the National Regent Honeyeater Recovery Co-ordinator! David Geering, erstwhile co-ordinator, has now handed on his mantle to Tiffany Mason, who would be delighted to receive reports of your sightings, either by e-mail or telephone. Providing further information by filling in the Swift Parrot & Regent Honeyeater Survey Sheet would be very welcome - keep an eye out for colour bands! You can find the survey sheet at: <http://www.environment.nsw.gov.au/resources/nature/SwiftParrotRegentHoneyeaterSurveySheet.doc>http://www.environment.nsw.gov.au/resources/nature/SwiftParrotRegentHoneyeaterSurveySheet.doc
(if it doesn't work, copy and paste the full address into your browser)
There is also the Regent Honeyeater hotline: 1800 621 056.
If you would like any further information on how you can help the Regent Honeyeater, don't hesitate to contact me: <> or (02) 6332 7643.
Thanks!
