Hi all
I've just enjoyed a dozen King Parrots in my garden (5pm Sunday), busily feeding on the seeds of several ash trees. There was one full adult male, three juv males (coming in to red headed plumage) and rest females or juveniles. At one point there were 11 in one tree. Apart from enjoying a great spectacle, as far as I am concerned, they can bring as many of their mates along along as they want - the ash trees are prolific seeders and any gardening session involves pulling up loads of tiny ash tree seedlings - the more the Kings eat the better!
Cheers
Tom Wilson
