Yeah well I'm happy too but I don't go singing outdoors at midnight.

Ah Magsters, yes.

Last night I heard a Magster warbling for hours in the dark in my
garden, started at about 12 midnight.

Any ideas why they do this night time stuff ?

Dear All,

Magpie nesting season appears to have started here in Gorokan, on the
NSW Central Coast. For a few days there has been a Magpie in the yard
collecting sticks, not so unusual. Now the little blighter has started
tugging at the chicken-wire that covers a pergola. Unfortunately (for
me) the chicken-wire is around 20 years old and a bit rusty in parts.
This has allowed the Magster to pull away the wire from the staples
that hold it to the pergola frame in places. I think I will have to do
a few repairs to the wire after the nesting season is over. I know
that Magpies use wire in their nests on occasions, but i have never
seen one so pro-active in obtaining it before.

Cheers,

Carl Clifford
