Dear Birders,
Many thanks to the many responses to my request for up to date information on
the Little Stint at Werribee.
I took a Jetstar plane to Avalon this morning, hired a car, and was rewarded
with fabulous views of the LS by 9:30. It fairly glowed in the morning light!
The rufous feather margins on the mantle and all the wing feathers was
extraordinarily bright. An absolute delight to see.
Thanks also to the numerous local birders I ran into at Werribee for their help
and hospitality. Birders are a great community to be part of!!!
There were lots of the usual birds at Werribee but a breeding plumage
White-winged Black-tern would have to take the cake as the second best bird of
the day.
Home for dinner.
Regards
Peter Marsh
