Hi all,

A number of birders spent a perfect winter's day at Castlereagh Nature Reserve and some of the Hawkebury Swamps yesterday.

Birding was good too. Highlights were:
Speckled Warbler
Red-capped Robin
Painted Button-quail
Buff-rumped Thornbill
Brown-headed Honeyeater

We had lunch at Pugh's Lagoon and proceeded to Pitt Town Lagoon. Here the highlights were:

White-breasted Sea-eagle
Australasian Shoveler
Hard Head
Cisticola
Little Grassbird
Nankeen Night Heron
Hoary-headed Grebe, some in breeding plumage
Restless Flycatcher
and on the way home some Straw-necked Ibis

A number of Atlas sheets were recorded.
