I would go with Brown Goshawk, the clearly rounded tail is visible in the third photo. I laughed when I saw some of the suggestions, some included Black-shouldered Kite and Grey Goshawk, one man was certain it was a Grey Falcon from a quick glance at the Simpson & Day! Another man was ready to put a 10 dollar wager down on the bird being a grey Goshawk!! It looks like these "Aussies living simply" may need to start practising their identification skills. We will know when those Aussies should stick to living simply when one of them suggest the first photo is of a pigeon and the second is of any aeroplane! A bit of fun.
All in all, at least they are giving it a go!
