Hi Tom,I will have a look at your photos but am not confident that I could tell them apart. The Vanuatu Petrel was as a new species, and not just a subspecies of the White-necked, in a paper in Emu in 2001. The reference is: Imber, M. J. and Tennyson, A. J. D. (2001). A new petrel species (Procellariidae) from the south-west Pacific. Emu 101: 123-127. It is an interesting read! Regards Greg Clancy |
