The feral offspring would be also be the discourteous ones you mentioned
above, I would imagine.

While on this subject I must mention that I noticed someone walking
through the middle of the fenced area of Truganina Swamp on the weekend.
Couldn't see it they had binoculars, but I'm guessing that it may have
been someone who had just been for a look at the crakes at Mt St Joseph
pond.  I later noticed that the fence at the end he was heading towards
was bent down badly, like a nail had come loose from their weight as
they climbed out, but I don't know if this was new damage.  They had a
red back pack - you know who you are.

I don't know if entering conservation areas is as big a no no as
entering private property without permission, but I don't think it's a
good idea, especially if you cause damage in doing it.  It also
encourages the locals to try it - I've never seen anyone else in there
and I'd rather they didn't start.

If anyone recognises themselves from the description I'd be interested
to hear what you saw in there - I've never been in.
