>From the perspective of a South African who owns a farm, I do not believe
that I "own" the biodiversity on it - rather that I am the guardian of it
for future generations. I have no more right to abuse or destroy it than
anyone else - which is why both SA and Australia have environmental laws
controlling what owners can do with "their" land.
