I observed a Silver Gull nest on the bow of a small boat, off the Wharf at
manly today. When we neared to close in our own boat the pair fiercely
warned us. This is the first I have heard of Silver gulls nesting so close
to habitation.
There has been a recent influx of Sacred Ibis breeding in Canary Island Date palms in Sydney city with nests sighted in the trees in Cook & Philip Park, Hyde Park and Darling Harbour. At least 4 pairs to each tree. Kurtis Lindsay |
