What exactly does that mean? You want to create a collection of bird photos?
Why not just stick them in that wiki you mentioned? Where do the bookmark
collections come into it?
Wikipedia seems to have a very flat structure, so if you want to "subdivide
bundles" then anything like that isn't going to help. It might be that all
wikis are like that.
Perhaps what you want is a hierarchical content management system like Plone.
It lets you create "folders" any number of levels deep, and place various kinds
of content in them - documents, images, etc.
This site uses Plone, have a look at how their photo gallery works:

Plone is an open source content management system (i.e. free). You could
install and run it on your own computer if you're willing for it to be the
server. However, you might not want to take that responsibility and might
prefer to look for someone else to host the site.
Plone is extremely customisable, but be warned, the learning curve doesn't
flatten out as you learn more, it gets steeper.
