Bristlebirds.

Down thread is a reference to Queensland Bristlebirds.

I have no knowledge of these birds so I did a bit of surfing and to my utmost 
surprise I now think it was the bird I saw  running across the Back Beach Road 
on Fraser Island in August 1968.

I have posted this sighting here previously but under the impression that it 
was a Rufus Scrub Bird.
