Steve/AusBirders,

I occassionally see a pair at different birding sites I visit on the 
Fleurieu Peninsula. Occasionally we will see one or two around the house and 
there is a pair that breed along the Inman River in our neighbors property. 
I would consider them uncommon in this area.
