Thanks heaps everyone!
The illustrated one looks like the one I was thinking of.
Andrew Isles has it but it's $105! ouch! ($50 for the photographic one)
Is it likely to be outdated only being revised 11 years ago or do you think it would still be fine?

Cheers
Dave

There is also a smaller photographic guide by the same author which I have been told is out of print.

Hi all
Just wondering whether someone could point me in the right direction
for a field guide of sea birds of the world. I remember someone
having a book they referred to as the seabird bible one day when i
was out with a Cumberland Bird Observers Club outing but can't
remember author/title.
Are there more than one?
Cheers
Dave
