Hi all,

Normally Cicadabirds are not found in the higher parts of the Blue Mountains, but this morning there was one calling persistently at Leura Cascades. Prior to this, my first and only record of it in the Upper Blue Mountains was 7th Nov this year when I heard one from my house in Katoomba. Seems there might be a small influx (if you can base such a thing on just two records).

They are more regularly found in the lower Blue Mountains and in the valleys.

Happy New Year everyone.

Carol
