I was in Sydney on the weekend and this morning I was able to get to Mt Bass
trail in the Royal National Park.

I was surprised to watch a Pheasant Coucal fly across an open area of ground
and then drop into some thicker vegetation further away. I thought they only
were seen around Narrabeen in Sydney. New Holland and Tawny Crowned
Honeyeaters were out in force. I also saw two Beautiful Firetails, a bird I
have consistently missed along this trail.

Unfortunately this was only a short trip but a good one.
