In today's Sydney Morning Herald appears this story relating to Bell Miners.

Noisy Miners also create havoc in the habitats into which they move and then
dominate. What makes me intrigued is what triggers such events in the first
place? Does anyone on birding-aus have any scientific information or even an
informed guess?
