Hello fellow Birding - ausers

Greetings from Buttaba on this fine Sunday afternoon. As you are aware the
first stage of saving Awaba has been completed. The coal company has
withdrawn it's proposal for an open cut coal mine. However we now fight the
second stage. I believe that much of the land is crown land and it would
wonderful if this land could be gazetted as State rec property, managed by
NPWS. Then there would be no further threat of an open cut in future years.

I would ask of you, fellow birding-ausers is to lobby the Ministers of the
Environment and Planning to have this happen.

Addresses are as follows

The Hon R.J. Debus, MP
Minister for the Environment
PO Box A290
SYDNEY SOUTH NSW 1232

The Hon F.E. Sartor, MP
Minister for Planning,
Level 34 Governor Macquarie Tower
1 Farrer Place
SYDNEY NSW 2000

Thanks to those who have offered their support so far, it is much
appreciated ! However we need to seal it!!

For the masked owl

kindest regards

Robyn Charlton
