Thanks to everyone that helped me find a Koel, which happened successfully yesterday morning. I wandered down to the Tench Reserve on the Nepean in Penrith and picked one up in one of the neighbours front garden. I'm glad the house owner didn't stagger out in their pyjamas and wonder what that man was doing in the front yard with a pair of bins. I actually had a ripping day yesterday, adding 15 birds to my life list (which admittedly has only been running for 2 weeks). The most exciting ones for me being a Dollarbird on the Nepean, and a Black Kite over the M4 at about St Marys.
