I heard several Koels at Crosslands Convention Centre on the Upper Berowra Estuary late last week.  This is not the Blue Mountains but is in the Hawkesbury Sandstone region, just north of there.

It is also interesting because the week before I was still hearing Koels on several islands in the Solomon Islands.  I am wondering if they are late coming South this year or if some birds do stay up in New Guinea and the Solomon Islands.

Happy Hunting

Mike
