Well what surprises me about your message is: I
wonder how a Tawny Frogmouth with what I would have thought to be weak
feet, would be able to perch on something as thin as an aerial. I have never
seen one perched on a thin branch, only on main branches. Did they look
comfortable? From what you saw, my guess is they could equally likely be a
pair, parent and offspring, just friends keeping in touch or rivals on a
territorial boundary. Do Tawny Frogmouths have much vocabulary beyond
"oom"?
