"Flock Pigeons"

Okay - final post on this subject, I think.
        The observer was rather crestfallen [!], but agrees that he might have taken the word 'Topknot' to mean the Crested Pigeon, and that in that case these birds might have been Topknots.

I myself have at times observed flocks of Topknots feeding in Mt Mee state forest/rainforest, which would be 5 kms or so away, perhaps less as the pigeon flies.
