I can see a possible risk with these devices (not for anyone on this
mailing list of course, but for less enlightened folk) that they will give
a false sense of security and encourage drivers to take less care when
driving near wildlife. People might use it as an excuse to stop looking out
for wildlife on the road, especially if they are not aware of the device's
questionable effectiveness.
