From the mail, it appears they don't and I'm a
victim of false advertising carried out by those who are attempting to cash in
on the deplorable "road-kill" disaster in this country. Nice dream, but I guess
it's back to the bull (roo....ughh) bar and a wing and a prayer. I've travelled
very extensively in the bush and tend to slow down when out there. I have
yet to kill any creature that I've known of with my car except for one Rainbow
Lorikeet which unfortunately smashed into the side of my car.
Let's face it though, a number of birds base their
existence upon being rather cryptic and freezing in the face of big nasty
intruders. This is an unfortunate recipe for being squashed by any car moving
faster than about 6km an hour.
