I saw the same at Kings Tableland (in the Blue Mountains NSW) yesterday morning at 7.30am - a group of about 40 needletails, flying low. I'd say part of the same flock that Lynda saw. It was a clear, still, hot day with no storms around. At the same place was a Brush Bronzewing calling persistently, and good numbers of Beautiful Firetails.
