Thanks for your answer and work on this. I think you have made a little goof though. I know some people get emotional about rare bird reports. I strongly suspect you meant to write "insight" rather than "incite" (my highlight below).

Well that's easy to answer  "there are no confirmed records for Australia or
any of it's Territories"  BARC has received several submissions claiming
Papuan Harrier but they were proved to be Swamp Harrier.  Many
(understandably) do not realise just how much Swamp Harrier can vary and
present day field guides do little to assist.  For a little more incite here

Hi folks
A quick question that may have a very simple answer.  Why is the Papuan
Harrier not mentioned at all in the New Atlas?
