What a cop out. Surely the words "NE Vic" would take no time and be a courtesy to the reader. In recent times, a number of members, especially those from Victoria, are starting again. I thought a reminder might point out to them their lack of consideration to other members. I never thought I would receive a reply such as yours. You still didn't have the manners to correct the situation.
No more bloodshed on Birding-Aus - please!!!!!! I think we've all received the message about being geographically responsible long ago - but occasionally we forget. I don't think we need another flame war over minor omissions of place-name netiquette - it's self defeating and contradictory after all .... and unpleasant for the rest of us.
Even Victorians can err on occasions! - because we naturally assume that the rest of Australia (and of course the world) orbits some arbitrary point in Central Victoria near Bendigo???!!!
[alert - the last sentence might have been intended as a good-humoured jibe - don't bother flaming me about it]
