According to Pentax it has a fixed lens equivalent to 280mm telephoto
on a 35mm camera  which isn't too bad as presumably it would typically
be used without a tripod.  The 3x is the digital zoom.  I'm doubtful
about the basic concept though even if the price sounds very good.
