Hello,

"On no account should a hide face due north into the sun, particularly across water. All you get is silhouettes and eyestrain".
Anthea Fleming

Austracentristic - perhaps this is a neologism but the habit isn't new. Australia does not lie outside of the tropics. We still are being told to plant shade tolerant species against south facing walls. What! and face the full glare of the summer sun.?

Bye from a parochial northerner,

Alan Gillanders
