Can't find info in my field guide

I know next to nothing about eggs, but they sound very similair to eggs I found low down in my suburban Adelaide garden years ago.They were eggs of the Common Blackbird, described by my old Pizzey as "blue-green, freckled, streaked, or blotched pale red-brown or grey". I remember thinking the blue was the most unusual shade of blue I had ever seen.
         How far off the mark am I??
