Black Faced Monarchs

I have seen three black faced monarchs today in the Cairns northern beaches area ("Marlin Coast") - not common to get a single sighting in this area - suspect there is a migration occurring
 
sightings were at:
partially completed house "ruin" on top of ridge behind Trinity Beach
just below reservoir on North side of JCU
near old quarry at end of Moore Road
