Hardheads and Regents

1. No idea, I've never eaten one.
2. (I think Edwin means why, rather than what.) Regent as in Regal, the colours yellow and black which traditionally were used to signify a viceroy person or prince. Add Parrot to the list, though not much black on it. Don't ask me why. I wonder whether there are any birds outside Australia that are called Regent whatever and whether they are mainly yellow and black. Are there any ideas out there? People with world bird databases maybe.
This line was on B-A a few months ago.

1) Why are White-eyed Ducks called "Hardheads" ?
 
2) What are black and yellow birds called "Regent" - as in Regent Honeyeater and Regent Bowerbird?
