Hello all

Help required on a problem of pronunciation.

Have just spent a week about 45 km west of Wagga Wagga, and one of the birds
seen may repeat may have been a white-winged chough.

Now, I'm OK on the pronunciation of 'white-winged', but what about 'chough'?

Is it choff as in cough, chuff as in rough, chow as in bough or chew as in
through?

Expert opinion, please.

Regards

Ralph Reid
