Are you aware of "A birdwatchers' guide to India" by Krys Kazmierczak and Raj
Singh published by Prion Ltd, 56 Western Way, Sandy, Bedfordshire, SG19 1DU UK.

It give detailed descriptions of a good number of birding spots, places to stay,
things to consider, car hire, etc. I have not used it in the field yet, but
will.

I got my copy from NHBS Mailorder Bookstore. www.nhbs.com.

The have the largest selection of bird and animal books--larger than Amazon or
ABA. If you need a book fast, be sure to specify this. When I ordered the above
book, it came by ship (I think) and arrived about 2 months after ordering.
