Hi folks,
I've read about a guide by Grimmett et al published this year which sounds
pretty good. Can anyone comment on this, or any other recently published
guides to the area. I've also seen references to a paperback version of
Grimmett - is this actually available? I've looked on Amazon and they don't
have it, but the ABA on-line catalogue lists it.

The Grimmett book is outstanding - but the original version is hardly a Field Guide. However, as they did witth the Zimmerman et al book on Kenya, the publishers are releasing a "boiled-down" version in field-guide format, with all the plates, an abridged text, a pperback cover and a smaller page format. I am not sure if this is available yet, but if portability is a concern make sure you get the Field Guide version if you can - the original has 886 pages!
