To Anne and others,
I have just realised in the semi-early evening that I have made an
error, and apologise, hopefully before a flood of rebuttals.
The point I was poorly trying to make was that most recently
fledged Little Ravens I have seen have brown eyes, but I have seen
a couple with blue-tinted eyes like the bird in question. But adults
have white eyes with a prominent iridescent blue around the dark
pupil. I have found that the blue is less noticeable than the white.
The field guides I have both say white eyes, hence the rather too
strongly worded wrong bit.
Anyway, Anne, I apologise for misleading you, seems I was, and
probably still am, confused!
Humble apologies,
Paul
