I have another good sighting to
report.
My husband called me outside the other night to say
a very big bird had flown over his head. I got the spotlight out and
we found it sitting in a cyprus pine and got fantastic views.
I feel sure it was a masked owl.
We get a lot of barn owls around here (Gunnedah On
NW slopes of NSW). This bird was a lot bigger, the dark line around its
mask was very obvious and it had tawny colouration around the side of its neck
plus streaks down its breast.
