I can see from discussion on birding-aus that what I am going to ask has
been discussed already, but obviously before I subscribed... sorry!

I watched LoB here in the UK and was astounded by the quality, breadth and
up-to-dateness (sorry, can't think of the word I want!) of the subject
matter. Yes, I've noticed mistakes and annoying points (to many slowed-down
flight shots and not enough species names are two I find particularly
annoying) but by and large the series has been utterly fantastic.

What I would like to know is, was that lyrebird really making those noises?
I understand the species are renowned for their mimicry but, although the
camera-shutter noises were believable the chainsaw just didn't quite seem
right.

To avoid boring others on birding-aus by re-running whatever was discussed,
could anybody mail me privately and give me a brief summary of what has been
discussed. I'd be very grateful.

Thanks in advance
Ken
