Just before dusk, I was driving out of Bli Bli (near Maroochydore) past the Cable Ski lake, when I saw a Black-necked Stork flying overhead in a southerly direction. This is the first I have seen in the immediate area, so I hope this is useful to some of you. It didn't however appear to be carrying any babies.... A most majestic sight and another reminder of how you can be in the right place at the right time. Has anyone got any idea what the status of this bird is on the Sunshine Coast (or SE Qld, for that matter)? Andrew Taylor Rosemount |
