Perhaps. But my guess is that the Little Raven has expanded its range at
the expense of the Australian Raven over the last 20 or so years, with
the LR breeding (here is suburban SE Melbourne) in isolated pairs rather
than behaving communally in the breeding season (which is what the new
Pizzey says they do).

Perhaps the new Atlas of Australian Birds will demonstrate what I guess
is a major change in distribution. But maybe there are also hybrids
AR/LR to add confusion ??
