Has the field of bioinformatics become of interest to those who are involved in bioacoustics? A regional consortium of colleges and universities in northwestern Louisiana are hosting a Biomedical Informatics Symposium, 5 November 2002 in Shreveport, LA. The Keynote Speaker is Dr. James Cassatt, Ph.D., Director, Division of Cell Biology and Biophysics, National Institute of General Medical Sciences at NIH, and Acting Director, Center for Bioinformatics and Computational Biology National Institute of General Medical Sciences National Institutes of Health.
