Users of Ishmael: Printed and bound copies of Ishmael's documentation are now available. If you'd like a copy, please let me know your mailing address. Also, a number of people have said they have had trouble using Ishmael with real-time input from a sound card. The latest version of Ishmael has a fix for this problem. If you've been having problems with real-time input, please try the new version. It's available in MobySoft, at http://cetus.pmel.noaa.gov/cgi-bin/MobySoft.pl Ishmael is a user-friendly bioacoustic analysis tool for Windows. It includes viewers for sound waveforms and spectrograms, methods for acoustic localization, beamforming, and automatic call recognition, and a sound annotation facility. Ishmael is aimed at users wishing to analyze large volumes of data quickly and easily. Dave Mellinger [EMAIL PROTECTED] |
