Hello Bioacoustics list, Uh, this might sound a little weird but my brother & I have this science project where we're trying to influence fish using an underwater sound projector (home made). We're having problems controlling the orientation of the gizmo in the water. Are there any web sites with photos/sketches showing how the pros design their hydrophones etc to maintain a fixed orientation underwater. Our device uses a piezo transucer bonded to an aluminium plate so it's not omni-directional. There are some images at http://www.geocities.com/thylacoleo_carnifex/acoustics/hydro_2/hydro_2 1.html Thanx for any tips.
