Thanks to everyone that replied re: Devon Park, Jondaryan and
beyond. We'll be staying at Bunya Mountains for several nights. A "reccy" from there is half the time each way compared to Brisbane; a tempting sidetrack, but exploring Bunya is the primary objective. Either way, a trip west of Brisbane sounds like a great idea in Spring for birds and wildflowers. Cheers!
