Devon Park Boundary Rd, QLD?

Devon Park Boundary Rd has three sections, running more or less West, then north, then west as you drive out from Oakey. I’ve only been there once, and the best birding that morning was along the first two sections. Best birds were at least 100 Cockatiels and a pair of Brown Songlarks. WWFW are likely to be sitting on any roadside thicket or bush. There are plenty of recent eBird records - the species map for WWFW shows roughly where along each section of road to expect them. 

Quite close to there is Sabine Rd Jondaryan (see eBird maps for the hotspot location) where Painted Honeyeater is very reliable. I’ve also seen Bluebonnet there. 

Irongate Nature Reserve is about 40km sw of Devon Park and is a small reserve with a lot of birds, notably Purple-crowned Fairywren plus honeyeater and finch species. Very easy to get to and walk around whether you have half an hour or a couple of hours. Of course, Dunmore Staye Forest is only a further 80km and that’s where you really start getting into the western species - but for a comfortable day without too much driving, the Oakey / Jondaryan area offers some great spots.

I've never been there before, and Google Maps/Street View doesn't offer any clues
as to where we should go looking; can anyone offer any advice?

We're staying at Bunya Mts. and were hoping to duck down to see the WWFWs
instead of making a separate trip from Brisbane; any other recommendations
in that area would be greatly appreciated.
