Ground Parrot

Eastern Ground Parrots occur patchily on the east coast in suitable habitat up to about Cooloola on the Sunshine Coast in QLD. The extensive low heathlands of Yuraygir National Park where you made this observation is a stronghold for them in northern NSW.

Very distinctive call....I’ve seen and heard them calling often at Melaleuca when I visited a while ago in Tassie so the call is very distinctive and familiar...
Are they known to be here? I imagine so...
Anyone seen sightings here
